I stupidly destroyed a sprinkler head while edging my lawn. The company quickly scheduled the repair for the next day when I called. The technician, Paul, was prompt, polite, and professional. He completed the work efficiently and answered all my questions. The company has excellent communication via email and text.

Our first experience with Naiad Irrigation Systems and we were impressed with their representative Cliff. He fully explained what was wrong with our system and gave us a number of options for revamping the system. Based on his visit we are booked for next spring to have our irrigation system upgraded.

I was tired of dealing with constant leaks that other companies couldn’t properly diagnose, so I reached out to Naiad after seeing all the great reviews—and they didn’t disappoint. Even when things don’t go perfectly, they actually try to make it right, which I really appreciate.
If your system is a bit more complex, I’d suggest asking for a senior tech. Everyone on the team is solid, but the senior techs usually spot the problem in five minutes. Junior techs sometimes need to check in with a supervisor or have someone else come out the next day.
Josaphat, one of their supervisors, is amazing. He’s done a ton of work on our system—probably around $4K worth—including installing a master valve, a new controller, replacing a bunch of sprinkler heads, reprogramming zones we no longer use, and swapping out solenoids. He spent almost two full days getting everything sorted. Super knowledgeable and hardworking.
Their customer service is also a breath of fresh air. You can text them and often get a reply within minutes. They’ve booked techs for us the very next day—our last company made us wait 10+ days sometimes. If something’s not quite right after a visit, they’ll come back and fix it for free. They also offer a membership to waive the dispatch fee.
Yes, they’re a bit pricier than some others, but they use newer parts and don’t just patch up old stuff—which, in my experience, ends up failing anyway. Totally worth it for peace of mind.

Cliff came out to do some work for our sprinklers installed by previous owners. He was very knowledgable and honest with his opinion and gave us alternate options. 100% satisfied with the customer service.

We have used Naiad for over 25 years and have always received excellent service . Our Technician today was Alex and as expected was top notch .
Very thorough and he repaired the defects quickly after explaining what was needed and going over the Hydrawise system we have again for me.
Niles trains his technicians very well and they are very respectable when in your home .
I would definitely ask for Alex when possible.

It all depends on where you live and the size of your property. In and around Calgary in 2021, $6,500-$8,500 for a complete residential underground sprinkler system, including mainline, pulling a permit, Wi-Fi timer and sprinklers.
The smallest residential irrigation system we installed in 2022 cost $4,500, and the most expensive was $15,000.
It all depends on weather. In Calgary, Alberta, we typically start turning on sprinkler systems on the first Monday in May. We tell clients they should have their irrigation system up and running by the Victoria Day Long Weekend.
Yes, you do. Every fall, most of the water must be expelled from the irrigation system. Otherwise, it will freeze, expand, and damage your underground irrigation system in the winter.
A sprinkler system should be winterized before overnight temperatures fall below zero degrees Celsius. For us here in Alberta, we recommend winterizing your irrigation system before the end of September.
We have had a few years when the overnight lows have been cold enough to damage the main waterline for the irrigation system as early as September 28th. Ultimately, you can run it later into the season, but there is always the risk that a cold overnight low could damage your irrigation system.
The bit of pipe that goes from the house to the valve box is most at risk. That bit of pipe is exposed to the elements and can freeze more easily than the pipes or sprinklers in the ground.
Yes, the device must be tested each year prior to turning on your irrigation system to ensure that the device is functioning properly.
During a spring activation service, an irrigation professional will turn on your irrigation system for the season. During the activation process the professional will go through the entire system to ensure that all heads are adjusted for proper coverage, check the programming of the system and identify any potential issues or repairs that may be needed on the system.
If there are any repairs or potential changes to be made to the system, the professional can provide an estimate for you, and in most cases, complete the repairs or changes during the activation appointment
